Epithalon (also referred to as Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, derived from the pineal peptide preparation epithalamin. It has been studied as a research tool in the context of telomere biology, specifically for its reported ability to activate telomerase (hTERT) expression in somatic cell cultures — a property relevant to replicative senescence and cellular aging research.
