DSIP 5MG
SKU: DSIP-5MG | Category: Research Compounds
9-amino acid neuropeptide | Sleep-wake cycle modulation | Neuroendocrine signaling research | ≥99% purity
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood during slow-wave sleep induction studies. Its amphiphilic structure allows it to cross the blood-brain barrier, making it a unique subject for CNS-targeted research. Endogenous concentrations have been measured in plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, and various peripheral tissues, indicating a broad distribution profile of interest to neuroendocrine researchers.
Mechanistic research has focused on DSIP’s interactions with sleep-wake regulatory pathways, its modulation of pituitary hormone release including LH, GH, and corticotropin, and its reported antioxidant and stress-buffering activity in cell-based models. Studies have also examined its effects on circadian rhythm entrainment, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis activity, and mitochondrial function under oxidative conditions.
Lyophilized to ensure stability during storage. Manufactured in ISO 9001 certified, GMP-compliant facilities. Purity verified at ≥99% by HPLC via ISO/IEC 17025 accredited third-party analysis. COA on file.
